Fairlight
Home Up Geologist Reunion 1999 Winter Weekend Lincoln Pinner Mine Brick Pit Fairlight Geowalk Lakeland

Fairlight Cove Sunday 5th September

This trip was led by Dave Scarboro.  Our walk will took us from Pett Level along the beach to Fairlight Cove and beyond, a round trip distance of about 4km.  We looked at structural geology, sedimentary geology, palaeoenvironmental indicators, fossils, and modern depositional and erosion processes.  We even managed to find dinosaur foot prints!  Thanks to Lesley Owen for some of her pictures.
